Donating unclaimed settlement funds
Did you know you can donate your unclaimed class action settlements to ClientEarth and help support our legal work to protect people and planet?
Occasionally when class action lawsuits are settled it is not possible to distribute money to some or all the class members. This may happen when class members are difficult to find or when it is not feasible to distribute all the funds. The cy pres doctrine allows remaining settlement funds to be distributed to an appropriate non-profit charity organization.
